Augustana CollegeLearning experiences in a challenging, supportive environment At Augustana College, transfer students find a wide range of learning experiences in a challenging and supportive academic environment. Augustana is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as an Arts and Sciences plus Professions institution and ranks among the top 60 private undergraduate colleges in the country, based on the number of graduates who earn the Ph.D. Augustana graduates tell of their success through the facts—such as 98% employed or in graduate school six months after graduation, and Ph.D. rates among the top 10% of U.S. colleges and universities. They also tell of their success through their stories—how their Augustana experience developed their skills for a successful, fulfilling life, and their confidence to make a difference. Through Augie Choice, all Augustana students can receive up to $2,000 to support a hands-on, high-impact learning experience—such as international study, research or an internship—that will set them directly on their career path. Augustana’s campus is frequently described as one of the most beautiful in the Midwest. Our location in Rock Island, Illinois—part of the Quad Cities—is in the heart of a metropolitan area on the Iowa-Illinois border of the Mississippi River.
